Blogtember Day #30- Work Primark Haul!!

For the last day of September, I went shopping to get some more clothes for work (I barely have any)! Sorry if it’s not very exciting but some bits are lovely and autumn-y so stay tuned!

Okay, so this first item is not for work (great start, Em) but I just had to get it. It’s a really cosy and soft jumper with Beauty and the Beast embroidered characters. £15, so not the cheapest thing Primark has ever sold, but cute and kinda worth it.

Next is a very un-exciting black pencil skirt. It’s kind of a t-shirt material so it’s stretchy, which makes it a lot easier to move about in, hopefully! This one was £5 and goes with everything, right?

Staying with the bottom half, I picked up a pair of navy blue cropped smart/work trousers. They’re a lovely fit and look smart for work, so you can’t really go wrong. And thy have pockets- hurrah!!

I was, at first, disgusted with the very notion of roll-neck jumpers in Primark. I actually picked this one up by accident and threw it back down in disgrace. However, I thought about it for a bit and thought how lovely it would look with a scarf and a pair of loose fitting trousers, like the ones above, for work. So I went for it. I’ve yet to try it out in the work environment and get a teenager’s verdict, but I like it.

I absolutely love this shirt, but again, I don’t know how it’ll work in practice just yet. It’s such a lovely baby pink shade with a breast pocket and pearls sewn onto the collar. Simple and so cute. And only £5!

Can you ever have too many scarfs for work in the winter? I literally live in them. This one is soooo cute. It’s a navy blue with gold stars all over it. I am in love with it. And it looks so expensive! £4.

Okay, so these next two aren’t from Primark, but I thought I’d share them with you anyway. They’re the same style (I actually already have a beige one), one is yellow and one is bright orange.

They’re from H&M and only £8.99, but they’re such a lovely fit. I wore one to work yesterday and got so many compliments! And the colours are so so so lovely for autumn! I’m kind of happy Halloween is on a work day, so I can wear the orange one then! 🙂
Hope you enjoyed this post, and all of my posts throughout Blogtember! I’m sad to be seeing Blogtember coming to an end, but it’s just got me more excited about Blogmas!!! Obviously I’ll be posting before then, so stay tuned and in touch! Thank you for all your support, reads, likes and comments throughout the month- love you lots!

Blogtember Day #21- Work and Play OOTD!

I thought, for this post, I would show you my work #ootd and also my ‘going out for an evening meal, birthday celebrations’ outfit!

So let’s start with work…

I love this outfit for work. It’s so comfy but also keeps me warm in the autumn (not quite warm enough for winter!)

The shirt: I absolutely love this shirt, it’s white with little black bees on it. I hate bees but it’s cute soooo…. It’s long sleeved, but I roll them up, but it’s just so lovely and floaty. Annnnd, it’s from Primark and literally cost me less than £10… I think it was £8. I know they still sell these shirts but not in this pattern. I’ve seen polka dot ones though (which I must get).

Under my shirt, I wear a long-sleeved basic top, which is what keeps me warm. But in the summer, a strappy top is enough.

The jeans– These are actually, again, Primark. They’re just their basic skinny black jeans which I find are perfect for work (because they’re cheap so it doesn’t matter if I get paint or chemicals or whatever else teaching assistant come across in their daily lives.)

The shoes– These cute little basic black ballet pumps are from New Look. They’re so comfy, and I actually chose to wear them today because they’re the only pair I own that don’t rub my feet!! Cute and practical all and fool-proof!

Okay, let’s get into the evening outfit. I only went out for tea with a friend, but I do like to put a bit more effort in than just a daily look.

The jacket- This super-cute New Look leather jacket is a basic, but a wardrobe staple. An essential, right??? I mean, what would I do without it? It goes with anything and everything. Easy.

The jeans– Again, Primark. I love these super skinny, high-waisted basics. High-waisted are a god-send and if I had to wear only one piece of clothing forever, it’d be these jeans.

The shoes- These nude-colour pumps have cute little 3D flowers on the front of them. Whenever I wear them I get compliments but they’re sooooo old! I probably got them about six or seven years ago and they’re falling apart, but I love them! 😭

The top- Omg, I love this top. It’s from Primark and cost me £3… yes, I did say £3!! It’s a navy blue blouse type thing with a frill at the bottom (I’m really bad at describing). I just know I love it.

The cardigan- A basic white cardie from (you guessed it) Primarni. Goes with everything! Woooooo!

Here’s me showing off my frill…..

Hope you enjoyed!

“Your trousers are hideous”… “I know”

Blog, lifestyle

So it might seem a bit strange to dedicate an entire blog post to a pair of trousers (culottes, but y’know), but omg. THESE culottes. I am in love.

I saw these online and wanted to get them for my holiday to Greece, but could I find them anywhere?! Nope. I knew they were from Zara but there isn’t a Zara shop in my home town and every time I came across a shop in another city, they didn’t have the trousers! (They’d also sold out online, fyi…)

Anyway, back in May I FINALLY found a pair in London’s Kensington shop (HURRAH!!). And literally, this is no joke, I have not taken them off since (I have, don’t worry).

I was a bit worried I might look a lil cray wearing these so swore I’d only wear them abroad (where nobody knew me)! But you know what? I don’t care anymore!

I think you should get yourself a pair tbh. And we can all look THIS good! (And only £20- bargain!!)
